Before we look at where, here's what I would look for when hunting around for a refurbished portable dvd player:
Buy from a company that's been around for some time. When buying online, it gives me more confidence when a companies been in existence for a few years. I don't want to be buying a refurbished portable player from some outfit that's "here today...gone tomorrow".
Second thing that I would look for. Are the refurbished dvd players being offered come with a decent warranty still? If you buy from a reputable company, you should still be able to get at least a one-year warranty on your refurbished portable dvd player.
The third thing (and to some maybe the most important thing to some people). Are you really saving any money by purchasing a refurbished item? There's no point in buying a refurbished dvd player for $200, when you go and buy it for new for $215 esle where. You probably want to buy refurbished in order to save some money, right? So if your intent is to save money by buying a refurbished dvd player, make sure that you are saving a fair amount. YOu got to do your homework in order to find a good refurbished portable dvd player.
